Pallet truck rollers / fork rollers

Buy fork rollers / pallet truck rollers in the Rollenshop No. 1

In order for a hand pallet truck to be used optimally, it needs the right tires. The choice of wheels primarily depends on the area of application and the conditions under which it is to be used. To cover all applications, we offer steering wheels, single fork rollers and tandem fork rollers in different materials.

Different fork rollers
You can get pallet trucks of high quality and robustness on the market. However, the tires on the industrial truck wear out during daily use under harsh conditions and high loads. You can notice this, for example, by the fact that the pallet truck makes noise when moving, is difficult to maneuver or requires more effort. Usually it is enough to replace the pallet truck rollers. You can easily do this yourself with common tools.

The right material for your pallet truck rollers

The choice of materials for the steering wheels and fork rollers of a hand pallet truck is determined by the price, the type of use, the intensity of use and the surface quality of the floor.

If the ground or environmental conditions on which you use your industrial truck change, it often makes sense to replace the rollers for the pallet truck. Not every roll is suitable for every floor. In Rollenshop No. 1 you can get replacements made of different materials:

Polyurethane (PU)

Allows a low noise level
Slight walking makes it difficult to pull heavy loads
Suitable for universal use

Polyurethane is a particularly robust and low-wear plastic with a long service life. The rollers are resistant to oils, greases and many acids and alkalis. Pallet truck fork rollers made of this material are characterized by a very smooth running and low rolling resistance. They are shock absorbing, leave no traces and are very resilient. They are suitable for hard and sensitive floors, for example asphalt, screed, tiles, parquet or PVC, and can be used at temperatures between ‑20 and +80 ° C.

Polyamide
Polyamide is unbreakable at high loads, has low rolling resistance and a temperature resistance from ‑40 ° C to + 90 ° C.

Wheels and castors for electric pallet trucks
Training wheels

When an electric truck hits a bump, the pressure on the jockey wheel increases as a result of the pressure on the suspension. The torsion bar ensures that the same pressure is exerted on the suspension on the other side of the vehicle. The pallet truck remains stable and does not sway.

Drive wheel

By placing the drive wheel on the center line of the device, the pallet truck is not subjected to side moments when the drive wheel regains its grip after spinning (e.g. on wet surfaces or on a slope). In these situations, an off-center drive wheel can cause considerable sideways movements to get the vehicle off track.

Fork rollers
You can choose between single and tandem fork rollers. The single fork rollers are ideal for easy maneuvering and positioning of the electric pallet truck, the tandem fork rollers are more suitable for transporting heavy loads and for use on uneven floors.

Available wheel materials for electric pallet trucks

The choice of materials for the wheels and fork rollers of an electric pallet truck is also determined by the price, the type of use, the intensity of use and the surface quality of the floor.

Polyurethane

Inexpensive alternative, developed for less intensive applications
Suitable for universal use

Single fork castors are preferred for use on flat floors and enable easy maneuvering. The wear on the rollers is higher than with tandem fork rollers. The white climbing roller facilitates entry into pallets with floor supports.

Pallet truck castors in the right size

When choosing the right tires, it is not just the right material that is important so that you can move your loads easily and comfortably. The size of the rolls must also fit. You can find information on which tires you need on the rating plate behind the drawbar of your pallet truck. If this is no longer legible or no longer available, measure your old pallet truck castors to determine the right model. For this you need the following dimensions:

Wheel diameter
Wheel width
Installation dimension
Axle diameter

These four factors are an if-then choice. As soon as you decide, for example, on the required roll diameter (which must fit the respective pallet truck), we automatically mark the associated optimal or possible other factors. This way you can also see whether the role you have chosen has the ultimate load-bearing capacity.
For many brands, we have saved the exact dimensions in our file so that we can determine the right roll for you by specifying the type of pallet truck.

Load capacity

Fork rollers have to carry very high loads with an extremely small wheel Ø. The bearing and covering are therefore of particularly high quality.

The necessary load capacity of a single roller naturally relates to the nominal load capacity of the respective lift truck. To do this, consult the load capacity information on the rating plate.

How can I change pallet truck rollers?

Thanks to the high-quality and robust production, it will take years before a roll change is due. Damaged, worn or otherwise impaired rollers for pallet trucks have to be replaced. In addition, the roles are part of the annual test prescribed by DGUV V 68. A suitable employee must be employed for this inspection and the change.

If you only want to swap roles on a pallet truck, this is usually not a problem and can be implemented by any experienced employee. To do this, you need the appropriate spare roles, the rest is mostly explained on the device itself.
You just have to make sure that the pallet truck is secured when changing the reel and then checked again for its suitability for use. This visual inspection can be carried out by any user and is a daily, occupational health and safety obligation.
